Celebrating Excellence: Staff and Student Achievement
We would like to recognise and thank our incredible teachers, whose dedication and expertise continue to support our students in achieving their very best outcomes. The 2025 HSC results below are a testament to the strong teaching and learning culture within our school.
Special congratulations to Nico R who achieved the highest possible band in every one of his courses, an outstanding accomplishment that reflects both academic excellence and consistent commitment.
Nico is truly an “all-rounder”, earning a place on NESA’s All-round Achievers List. This prestigious annual list recognises HSC students who achieve results in the top band (Band 6 or E4) in 10 or more units of study, demonstrating exceptional academic breadth across their HSC pattern.
An ATAR of 98.75 places Nico in the top 1.25% of his cohort—an exceptional result.
Additional 2025 Highlights:
English Advanced: 30% of students achieved a Band 6, with 70% achieving a Band 5
Above State Average Results:
- Textiles and Design: +6.84%
- Economics: +7.11%
- English Advanced: +5.18%
- Mathematics Extension 2: +8.72%
- Engineering Studies: +6.33%
Strong Overall Student Performance
68% of students achieved results in the top three bands, showing a continued upward trend.
Year 10 Commerce Market Day
On 26 August our Year 10 Commerce students, with the support of their teachers, set up pop-up stalls across the school playground. Students had been learning about the elements of running a business.
Year 8 Medieval Day
On 21 March our Year 8 History students took a step back in time to experience life in Medieval times. It was a fun and educational activity with lots of dressing up, role playing and the creation of some amazing models.
National Skills Week Challenge
On 28 August, as part of National Skills Week, our students took on a series of exciting challenges that highlighted future career pathways in hair and beauty, construction and engineering, hospitality, nursing and allied health, floristry and landscaping, and plumbing.
A year at our school
The Forest Festival of Lights
On 30 May we held our bi-annual Forest Festival of Lights - a wonderful school and community evening of music, light displays, stalls and delicious food.
TAS Showcase
On 22 July 2025 we held our TAS Fashion Show where our talented young designers from Years 8-10 showcased the wonderful garments they had designed and created - the results were amazing!
Chiba Keiai High School Visit
This year we again welcomed students and staff from our Japanese sister school this year. Students from both the Chiba Keiai Senior High School and The Forest High School had the opportunity to engage in various educational and cultural activities.
