The Concert Band is our main performance ensemble. It is directed by Ms Lemin Luu. The Forest High School has a long standing reputation for excellence in music and the performing arts. The current Concert Band continues the tradition with a record of recent triumphs in band competitions and successful tours. The Concert Band performs throughout the year including numerous school and community functions.
The Concert Band rehearses twice a week, on Monday morning and Wednesday morning at 7.15am.
The Wind Ensemble is our entry band for all Year 7 students. Also conducted by Ms Lemin Luu, it comprises of students from Year 7 to 9 working towards a successful audition and gaining a position in the Concert Band. This ensemble performs throughout the year at school and community events, as well as participates in workshops and tours.
The Wind Ensemble rehearses once a week on Tuesday morning at 7.15am
Our Stage Band rehearses once a week on a Wednesday afternoon at 3pm
