01 Jul 2016
It is now time for Year 8 students to choose their electives for Years 9 and 10.
ALL students in Years 9 and 10 study English, Mathematics, Science, HSIE (History/Geography/Civics) and PDHPE.
In addition, students are required to complete three electives. Every effort will be made to ensure that the majority of students receive their choices.
The time line for the selection process is as follows:
Tuesday 26th July 2016 - Information Night at Forest High School - 7pm in the Hall. On this night all parents and students are invited to attend to talk to Head Teachers of each faculty to answer any questions or queries. A detailed information booklet and subject selection sheet will be given to parents and students attending the information night.
Friday 5th August 2016 - Final date for the subject selection process. Please discuss the choices with your son/daughter. It is important that they select subjects in which they are interested, and are capable of doing. We endeavour to give all students their choices. However, this is not always possible so please have a reserve subject in mind. Please note that some electives carry a fee which is outlined in the information booklet. These fees are mandatory as they cover consumables used in these elective subjects.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact the school.
