Meet the Music and Verbruggen Hall Recital

The final concert in the 2018 Meet the Music series was held at the Sydney Opera House Concert Hall.  This concert included a spectacular percussion concerto which had Australian percussionist Claire Edwardes literally running around stage to cover a huge variety of new and traditional instruments.  Year 11 and 12 music students have thoroughly enjoyed these wonderful Sydney Symphony Orchestra concerts.

On Saturday 10th November some of our senior music students witnessed a spectacular recital by Russian pianists Andrey Gugnin and Arseny Tarasevich-Nikolaev.  The recital was held at the Verbrugghen Hall at The Sydney Conservatorium of Music. The evening began with a pre-concert talk for this select group of students. Following the recital they were treated to a meet and greet with the performers.
