Pursuing dreams, representing community and taking on new challenges with determination, courage and conviction. That's what our Year 10 students achieved this week as they visited the Northern Beaches Hospital to complete a one-day taster Intensive Work Experience program with leading surgeons, nurses and hospital staff from around the world.
The students visited different wards from midwifery and oncology to triage and palliative care to learn more about the intricate workings of the medical industry and gain invaluable insight into their future specialist careers.
Thank you to the incredible team at Northern Beaches Hospital, and Pauline S, for making this such a fun, rewarding and memorable experience for our Forest High students, who all left with smiles and an exciting new outlook on their future careers in caring for others and saving lives. As Paige F and Kryss B exclaimed, "Can't wait to do it again. We went to the morgue, saw babies, had an awesome lunch, was just the best". Outstanding effort everyone, wonderful feedback from staff - you should all feel so very proud of what you have achieved.
