At The Forest High School our priority is to always raise the bar in student performance and learning success. To support our EAL/D students in ensuring they reach their full potential, we offer a literacy and language program for senior students that is targeted toward developing study skills for concept mapping and analytical thinking across all subjects. Come to A1022 from 2-3pm every Wednesday.
Particularly for our senior students, we have witnessed new heights of success in achievement, as they learn how to use academic language and critical thinking skills in new ways; and with the newfound confidence to discuss their ideas with teachers and peers.
We also offer wellbeing and student support mentoring during these sessions, but most importantly we focus learning through enjoyment, rigorous teaching and equipping students with emotional and social capabilities for their everyday learning.
